Arsene Wenger revealed some worrying news for gooners in his injury update yesterday, saying Aaron Ramsey’s latest knock could sideline him through the festive period and may not return until the new year.

“I am scared [Ramsey] will miss the Christmas period. He should be back end of December, beginning of Januaryā€¯ he said while grimacing.

Ramsey just cannot seem to catch a break and seems to always turn up with an injury just as he hits his stride. Arsenal need Ramsey to kick into gear if they hope to get their season back on track, so his absence will be a real blow.

Aaron picked up a niggling hamstring injury which he has been struggling with this season, and was substituted at halftime against Galatasaray because of it. It was thought to be a minor one initially, but he has since failed to recover and has been sidelined ever since. He missed last weekend’s thrashing of Newcastle and looks set to miss the next two games at least as well.

Big blow for Arsenal, and it seems whenever a player leaves the treatment table, another swaps places with him. Like I said about Ozil, it is a shame Arsenal cannot call on Ramsey tomorrow, but hopefully the boys get it done without him.
