We’re going to Wembley! With a clash against Aston Villa set to kick off at 3pm on May 30th, 2015, The Gunners will be heavily favoured to repeat as champions of the FA Cup. Arsenal looked very comfortable throughout the whole match against Reading, and thanks to Alexis Sanchez’s two goals (both assisted by Mesut Ozil), the Gunners are on to the final!

Arsenal dominated their opposition with 70% of possession whilst firing 23 shots with nine on target – Reading posted 12 shots with just four on target. The Gunners remained very calm and collected throughout the match, as it took 120 minutes to decide our fate. Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil combined in the 39th minute of the game to give the new Chilean star his 22nd goal of the season. Sanchez found a way to slip the defence and slide the ball confidently between the keeper’s legs – cheeky as it gets. In the 54th minute, Reading’s Garath McCleary equalized with a scrambling half-volley 10-yards out that Szczesny struggled to keep out – exactly why David Ospina should’ve between the woodwork at Wembley. Aaron Ramsey had a gaping net secure a win in the closing moments of the match, but his off-balance shot slammed against the post – agonising. As the 90 minutes came to conclusion, Arsenal seemed to be building momentum – Reading saved by the bell.

Reading did a very good job defending Arsenal’s one-touch style of play near the box, clinically closing down the Gunners before they could reach the box. Luckily, and I do mean luckily, Alexis Sanchez was able to fire a shot from the left side of the net – slipping gingerly through Adam Federici’s legs, who was magnificent for Reading the whole match. Shame, Federici will forever be remembered for that one blunder, rather than posting one of his best career performances for 105 minutes against the cup holders. The game concluded with half-chances from both sides, then the final whistle. The Gunners are set up well to repeat, but will Le Professeur keep Szczesny in net? I sure hope not.

Szczesny or Ospina will not be descisive, both are well and truly good enough!

Szczesny is certainly not a good option for the FA cup final? He probably have overstayed his welcome with north london side.
