Lukas Podolski is somewhat of a forgotten man at Arsenal, having struggled to establish himself since joining in 2012. He spent the second half of last season on loan at Inter but couldn’t make much of an impact in the Italian capital either. He now returns to the club having seen his loan spell expire but it is widely expected that Wenger will let Podolski go on a permanent basis.

The World Cup winner won’t be short on suitors, with a whole host of clubs reportedly set to register firm interest. Among them is Turkish side Galatasaray, who are said to hold strong interest in the player.

Podolski has now admitted that he would consider any offer and make the right decision regarding his future. Reports in the Express quote Podolski as saying this:

“If an offer comes from Turkey, I will sit down and talk about it with my family and girlfriend.”

“If I find the right club, the right coach, the right environment, I will evaluate it.”

Now 30, Podolski admits his next move could well be his last, and says he must give it some real consideration.

“If these conditions are met, I think everything is possible.”

“The next transfer could be my last, so I have to take a well-thought step.”

This news won’t come as shocking to gooners by any means as Podolski has endured a bit of a nightmare as far as playing time goes. Reports suggest that Arsenal and Galatasaray are yet to agree a fee, and that Podolski has pleaded with the club to lower his asking price.

Let’s hope for Lukas’ sake that he finally gets a run in the side at whichever club he joins.
