Arsenal are said to be on the verge of signing Yacine Adli from Paris Saint-Germain.
Some reports in France (via talkSPORT) even suggest the Gunners already have the deal over the line.
The teen-sensation is set to be the first attack minded player to arrive under new boss Unai Emery.
Adli is regarded as one of the brightest young talents in Europe and Emery has been pushing to bring his former player over to Arsenal.
And former Gunners winger Robert Pires has eyed Adli as a player to follow in his footsteps by becoming an Arsenal legend.
Speaking at the launch of Arsenal’s new 2018/19 navy blue away kit, when asked if Adli could become the ‘next Robert Pires’, the former France star laughed and said: “I hope for him.”
He added: “He’s a talented player. I know him.
“He has very good quality, he’s very fast with the ball.
“Sometimes he can score. I know Emery likes this type of player.
“I don’t know what’s happening but if he joined Arsenal, I think he would be a good player for the new squad.”
