29 year-old’s poor form could cause Sanchez January sale

Arsenal may be forced to sell Alexis Sanchez in January because of the lack of interest in Mesut Ozil.

With both players set to wait out their contracts Arsenal want to avoid losing the duo for free. However Ozil’s poor form means big club’s are put off by signing the midfielder, meanwhile smaller clubs cannot afford his wage demands.

The Daily Star claim it could force Arsenal to cash in on Sanchez in the winter window.

Last week Arsene Wenger admitted it was possible that both players could leave the club in the New Year. However, Ozil’s agent claimed talks between the parties were “positive”.

It appears Ozil would rather stay at Arsenal if the club meet his £350,000-a-week wage demands or leave for free in the summer to another English side.
