Petr Cech’s No. 1 spot at Arsenal may be under threat, but the veteran goalkeeper is doing his utmost to hang on to it.
Arsenal have mounted pressure on the former Chelsea stopper after signing Bernd Leno last month. The German, who arrived from Bayer Leverkuzen for £22m is expected to keep between the sticks for Arsenal’s Premier League campaign.
But it might not just be those two in the running, with David Ospina, Emiliano Martinez and Matt Macey all still on the scene – with Emery insisting that he will look at them all.
Cech has clearly been working on staking his claim ahead of his colleagues. The goalkeeper was pictured from the behind-closed-doors clash with Crawley showed him looking in incredible shape.

Whether his new buff build will help earn him a regular start remains to be seen. However, it’s clear the Czech Republican is not finished yet.
