3 Arsenal men Wenger must sell this week

If Arsenal are to bring in a few new faces this January transfer window, it is only natural that a couple of players will have to depart from the club to make room in the dressing room, and to cut down on the wage bill.

No Arsenal player will want to leave North London and the fantastic Emirates stadium, but some may be more happy to leave than others, due to factors such as game time and being unsettled in the location Arsenal are based.

Arsene Wenger will have to think long and hard about whoever he is potentially bringing to the club and who may be leaving the Emirates as a result. The comparisons between the latest additions and the recent departures will give the Arsenal boss a headache but a change is needed.

With the January deadline approaching quicker than you would think

Here are the THREE Arsenal players Wenger should offload this week… What do you think of the choices?

Mathieu Debuchy

The French full-back has been out of favour since his injury early in Arsenal career due to the improvement of young Arsenal star Hector Bellerin filling in for Arsene Wenger’s side whilst Debuchy was on the sidelines. Since his return from injury, Debuchy has not been able to get back into the team with Bellerin continuing to perform.

Recently, the French right-back has been playing for the reserve team to get some minutes under his belt, and there’s no doubt he will be the first on Arsene Wenger’s list to leave North London.

Carl Jenkinson

Another right-back at the Emirates who cannot find a place in the team under Arsene Wenger. The young Englishmen has been on loan to Premier League side West Ham United, but similar to Debuchy, received an unfortunate injury, resulting in West Ham sending Jenkinson back to Arsenal.

Arsene Wenger knows Jenkinson is not at the level to play at Arsenal right now, and will be looking to offload the Englishmen this week.

Yaya Sanogo

The French striker was loaned to Ajax last season due to an unsuccessful season in Arsenal’s first team in the previous season. Sanogo, who was involved in the Arsenal starting eleven more than he would have expected, did not perform, and only scored a single goal in many appearances.

The youngster is now in the reserve squad and out of favour with his Arsenal boss so it would be no surprise to see the striker offloaded this week.
