3 Arsenal players we want to see more of

Arsenal have an extremely talented squad and are fighting for success on all fronts, which means that as a result some talented players don’t get much game-time.

This is part and parcel of modern football, especially within a squad like Arsene Wenger possesses, but in an ideal world we want to see all our exciting stars given a chance- particularly when it comes to this trio, who are fantastic.

Whether a chance can be squeezed in remains to be seen, as it’s always a risk bleeding new talent into a squad, but these players have suggested that they are extremely capable of becoming an integral part of Arsenal’s squad.

In a title race you need as many numbers as you possibly can, so these players could prove to be a valuable asset.

Jeff Reine-Adelaide

17-year-old Jeff Rene-Adelaide is a player who Gooners are extremely excited about and are desperate to see get some playing time.

He’s been on the bench this season in the League and Champions League, however it was his performances in the Emirates Cup in preseason that have gotten Arsenal fans are excited about this young talent.

He’s been described as ‘something special’ by Arsene Wenger and with the flickers of world class talent in his play, Jeff Reine-Adelaide is a youngster we will be seeing a lot more of in the future.

Alex Iwobi

The Nigeria international is a product of the famous Hale End Academy, where the likes of Jack Wilshere and Kieran Gibbs graduated from and is a hugely promising talent at the Emirates.

He’s been prolific at youth level, but is staking his claim for games in the first team this season. He started in the 3-0 loss to Sheffield Wednesday as we crashed out of the League Cup, but Gooners still remember his performance in the 2014 the Emirates Cup, where he starred and scored during the 6-0 hammering of Ligue 1 runners-up Lyon.

He recently signed a new long-term contract with us, however is thought to be the subject of loan interest from Reading, Birmingham and Sheffield United. With us chasing the title and with little opportunities to give young players, going on loan to the Championship would be a good move for him to prove what he can do.

Krystian Bielik

Versatile 7-year-old Polish wonderkid Krystian Bielik is another hugely exciting prospect and one we will see a lot more of the coming years.

He signed for the academy as a midfielder, but has been converted to a centre-back for the under 21’s and has been hugely impressive for them this season.

His only first team appearance was harshly being thrown in against Sheffield Wednesday with the Gunners already 3-0 down. But he was being watched closely by excited fans and despite the nature of the result, proved his character by continually calling for he ball so that he could dictate the pace of the game.

For a 17-year-old it was a hugely impressive show of character in such a tough atmosphere and that it is exactly the kind of player we have been missing in the middle of the park since the days of Patrick Viera.
When he signed for us he famously said this “place is going to be mine”.

It’s that kind of ambition and determination that sets apart superstars.
