3 Juventus players Arsenal should consider signing this summer

Arsenal face a huge overhaul this summer if they are to contend for the top honours next season and the Gunners will have their eyes on big names from across Europe.

With the standard of player Arsenal will be looking for, the Gunners may have to target players that are already established at top European sides and Italy should be the first point of call for North London outfit- as Serie A sides cannot offer the financial benefits that are on offer in the Premier League.

Of those Italian clubs, Arsenal could look to Juventus for summer activity- especially if Massimiliano Allegri succeeds Arsene Wenger as manager of the Gunners this summer.

The Turin giants have dominated Italian football for a number of years but have struggled to make progress on the European stage since finishing runners-up in the Champions League to Barcelona in 2015.

As such, their players could decide it’s time for a new challenge and Arsenal should definitely be considering a swoop for this Juventus men come the summer.

Alex Sandro

The 26-year-old Brazilian left-back has established himself as one of the finest players in his position across world football and won the double in his first campaign with Juventus last season- lifting the Serie A and the Coppa Italia.

With Nacho Monreal lacking form and being the wrong side of 30, Sandro would be a significant upgrade on the Arsenal squad and still has his prime years ahead of him. Whilst he would prove to be an expensive recruit, there is no denying it would be money well spent.

Miralem Pjanic

Since signing for Juventus from Roma last summer, Bosnian international Miralem Pjanic hasn’t quite lived up to expectation in Turin and there has been plenty of speculation that he could be on the move again this summer- although the Italian giants will be keen to recoup the €32m they spent.

At 26, Pjanic has plenty of years ahead of him and his ability of the ball is quite similar to Santi Cazorla- so it could solve Arsenal’s long-term problem of finding a successor for their Spanish maestro.

Arsenal may be well-stocked of midfield talent but it’s also clear they lack someone in the Cazorla mould- and Pjanic could be that man.

Daniele Rugani

22-year-old defender Daniele Rugani is one of the most exciting young players in world football and Arsenal are reportedly keen on his services- and they should definitely do all they can to secure his signature.

Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny are in the twilight years of their careers, whilst Gabriel Paulista has question marks hanging over his head as to whether he’s capable of being a starter for the Gunners. Rugani, however, could star at the heart of the defence for the next decade.

With Hector Bellerin, Shkodran Mustafi, Rugani and potentially a new left-back, Arsenal could boast a quality back-line who are all under the age of 25 and they could become names to rival the likes of Tony Adams, Steve Bould and Martin Keown.
