According to reports, both Arsenal and Tottenham are considering a January move for Manchester United defender Phil Jones.
The Englishman’s future remains uncertain, particularly after reports last week suggested that United will listen to offers in the New Year.
Jones will see his current deal expire next summer, however United have the option of extending for an extra 12 months.
Jose Mourinho was reportedly ‘furious that the club failed to sign a centre-back last summer’, however his ‘lack of options are unlikely to be a reprieve for Jones’, the Metro stated.
According to talkSPORT, north London rivals Arsenal and Spurs are both watching the situation and could make a move in January to bolster their rearguard.
Arsenal brought in Sokratis Papasthopolous in the summer. Meanwhile, Rob Holding is progressing into the first-team starter Arsenal fans had hoped for.
Gooners, in a word, will Phil Jones improve our defence? Let us know in the comments…
