4-3-2-1: This is the perfect Arsenal XI to end the Swansea curse

At the back: Cech, Bellerin, Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal

The Swans will come to The Emirates this afternoon ready to impress their new boss, meaning the forward men will be desperate to get on the score sheet.

With that in mind, a solid defence is – as always – a must for Wenger today. In front of the ever reliable Petr Cech will need to be an equally reliable back four.

Since his arrival in the summer, German centre-half Shkodran Mustafi has formed a formidable partnership with Frenchman, Laurent Koscielny at the back, having not conceded since the 4-1 win at Hull City.

Either side of the pair are two trustworthy full-backs in Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal, who will be more than comfortable moving forward should everything go to plan and the Gunners take control.
