Olivier Giroud is like Marmite – some love him and some hate him!

That said, since signing for the Gunners in June 2012, the French international has gone on to score 57 goals in 135 Premier League appearances.

While his inability to score 30 Premier League goals in a season will always mean he is a good, not great striker in the eyes of a large proportion of Arsenal fans, we think Giroud has never shied away from picking himself back up.

Don’t get us wrong, he’s gone through barren spells on Arsenal’s frontline but he always seems to get back to scoring ways while proving lethal in other periods.

An all-rounder kind of striker, we think Arsenal have gotten value for money considering Giroud was signed for only £9.6 million – absolute tuppence compared to some of the fees bandied about for strikers just four years later nowadays!
