Mathieu Debuchy
A huge surprise to many, Mathieu Debuchy was actually retained by Arsenal this season.
With a summer transfer to Turkish giants Galatasaray failing to materialise, the former French international is sticking around with plenty to prove.
That said, he is firmly behind Hector Bellerin in the pecking order at right back and it remains to be seen whether he’ll actually be the second choice right back with everybody fit.
That’s because new boy Shkodran Mustafi can fill in at right back, not to mention Carl Jenkinson being back in the fold following two full seasons on loan at West Ham United.
Debuchy will have to take full advantage of the few opportunities he’s given this term to force his way back into the reckoning.
