Arsene Wenger says Aaron Ramsey is in contention to face Bournemouth on Sunday.
The Gunners midfielder has been out of action since injuring his hamstring in the 1-1 draw at Southampton last month.
Ramsey was in good form prior to being hurt and will be hoping to continue his good work if he gets the nod on Sunday.
“We will have Ramsey back in the squad,” Wenger confirmed (via the Independent).
Jack Wilshere has filled in for him since. The playmaker who captained the Arsenal side that drew with Chelsea in the week will also be assessed after injuring his ankle.
For years Arsenal supporters have been critical of the pair’s ability to play alongside each other.
It could see Wenger push either play onto the wing in order to accommodate Granit Xhaka in the midfield.
Mesut Ozil is a doubt though. The German who returned in Arsenal’s 2-2 draw with Chelsea on 3 January is recovering from a knee problem.
