AC Milan have turned down a move to bring Mohamed Elneny to the San Siro in January.

The Arsenal outcast is currently on loan at Besiktas but doesn’t look to have much of a future under Emirates boss Unai Emery.

Reports in Italy (via Daily Mail) have claimed the Egyptian international – currently on loan at Besiktas – approached the Serie A side over a move.

But Milan have rejected the 27-year-old, believing he would only be a squad player.

Elneny has featured nine times for Besiktas this season in all competitions.

He arrived in north London in January 2016, but is still yet to make his 50th Premier League appearance for the Gunners (46).

After losing his place to Matteo Guendouzi and Lucas Torreira, he secured a loan move to Besiktas earlier this year.

It now seems the Egyptian international’s career at Arsenal is at an end.
