AC Milan tell Arsenal to cough up €25m for midfield talent

AC Milan are prepared to sell Franck Kessie to Arsenal, for the right price.

The Gunners have emerged as front runners for the 23 year-old as head coach Mikel Arteta looks to bring in reinforcements in January.

Milan are demanding a fee of at least €25million (£21m) for Kessie which the Gunners deem excessive, according to Sky Sport Italia (via Metro).

Having spent around £100m last summer, Arsenal are targeting loan deals rather than any permanent signings.

West Ham have also been weighing up a move for the former Atalanta midfielder with David Moyes keen to bolster his side as they battle to stay in the Premier League.

Kessie has struggled for consistency at Milan, but has stood out this season despite the Italian giants languishing in tenth place in Serie A.
