Arsenal are considering parting with Olivier Giroud for a short-term loan spell to AC Milan, reports claim.

Giroud has been informed by after France assistant manager Guy Stephan to assess his future if he’s to warrant game selection in the World Cup next summer.

The Arsenal striker is currently being restricted to domestic cup and Europa League competition with Arsene Wenger turning to Alexandre Lacazette in the Premier League.

According to reports in Italy, Giroud, who has netted over 100 career goals for Arsenal is now a target of AC Milan. The Serie A giants would be interested in a loan deal if they could come to an agreement with Arsenal.

Milan spent close to €200m in the summer and are mindful that they could be in breach of UEFA’s Financial Fair Play rules if they spend any more, which makes a temporary move for the Frenchman the most likely option.

Gooners, would it be wise to part with Giroud? Let us know in the comments.
