On loan Arsenal forward Folarin Balogun has dedicated his latest goal in the French Ligue 1 to club legend Thierry Henry.

THE LOWDOWN: IMPRESSIVE IN FRANCE

Balogun has continued to lit up France since his move to Reims in the summer. He has previously credited his decision to move to the Ligue 1 to former teammate Alexander Lacazette.

Just over the weekend, the youngster was on hand to score a late goal for Reims as they picked up a valuable point at the home of PSG.

Balogun celebrated his last-gasp goal by imitating Arsenal legend Henry’s celebration with the corner flag.

THE LATEST: GOAL DEDICATION

Balogun has revealed that he had been in touch with Henry before the match and had been happy to pay tribute to the striker following his latest goal

“Spoke to Titi before the game! Only right I show my respect,” he wrote on Twitter with a picture of the two celebrations.

The youngster has now scored 11 Ligue 1 goals this season and will be in action on Wednesday when Reims take on Lorient in Ligue 1.

THE VERDICT: GOOD GESTURE

The 21-year-old striker recognizes greatness and must have been in constant touch with the former Arsenal star.

He needs this sort of guidance if he wants to excel in a league like the French Ligue 1 or go on to have a great career like Henry as a striker.

The Arsenal academy graduate has continued to deliver in France and it remains to be seen what plans Mikel Arteta has for him in the summer.
