Arsenal are set to secure the future of Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and William Saliba in the coming weeks.

THE LATEST: FANTASTIC START TO THE SEASON

Arsenal have started the new season in excellent fashion, winning six of their opening seven games in all competitions. In addition, the Gunners currently sit atop of the Premier League log.

At the heart of everything the Gunners have done this season is the trio of Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka and William Saliba. While Saka and Martinelli have been a key component of the side for some seasons, Saliba returned from his loan spell to command a place in Mikel Arteta’s team and he has not looked back since then.

Due to their respective impact on the team, the Gunners are working on extending their contracts as soon as possible.

THE LATEST: CONTRACT RENEWAL PLANS

Arsenal have mapped out plans to extend the contracts of their important squad members. The Gunners went for a rebuild in the early stages of Mikel Arteta’s tenure and currently have one of the youngest teams in Europe.

Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and William Saliba, who are seen as the future of the club, are all under 22. Currently, they are an important cog of Arteta’s side and Arsenal are not leaving any stone unturned as to their future.

According to 90min, Arsenal are pushing hard to renew the contracts of the three. The report added that Edu believes all three deals are on the right track, with the Gunners quite optimistic about having everything done by January.

THE VERDICT: WAY TO GO

It is a brilliant move from Edu and Arsenal to see to the contract renewal of the three. It is quite glaring that they are all enjoying their time at the Emirates and getting them to commit their future to the club will be a great advantage to Mikel Arteta.

These lads are not finished products yet as they still have their peak years to come and it is better to have them use it while playing for the Gunners instead of another club. Arteta knows their importance and this step is one in the right direction.
