David Bentley believes Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi would be a great addition to the Arsenal squad in the summer.
THE LOWDOWN: MONITORING PROCEEDINGS
After another good business in the transfer window, Arsenal are already planning towards the summer already.
A report stated that the Gunners have identified an Englishman as the club’s number one target in the summer, while also monitoring the situation surrounding another winger at a rival club in London.
Now, a former Premier League star is suggesting that the North London side could benefit from signing the wantaway Chelsea star.
THE LATEST: “GREAT BUY”
Bentley feels Hudson-Odoi should follow in Jorginho’s footsteps and swap Stamford Bridge for the Emirates.
Bentley told Bitcoin Casino: “It depends on the level they would be going in for him at – if they are going in at a good price then yes – the player has talent, he’s young and if he can slot into the Arsenal way and environment then he’s certainly a player that could be a great fit for them.”
“He’s very talented but maybe just found himself in a difficult position at Chelsea with a lot of players coming in and different managers, which sometimes is not a great environment for a young player to be developing in.”
“If he can settle down at a club like Arsenal, with the full support of the club, then he’s certainly a player – if they can get him at the right price – then he could end up being a great buy for Arsenal.”
THE VERDICT: PROBABLY NOT NEEDED
Arsenal have already signed a winger in the January transfer window, so signing another one in the summer might not be a priority.
Hudson-Odoi is decent and unless there’s a request from Mikel Arteta to have him on board, a move might not happen.
