Transfer expert Dean Jones believes Bukayo Saka will stay put at the Emirates despite ongoing talks over a new contract.

THE LOWDOWN: IMPORTANT FIGURE

Over the course of the last few years, Saka has continued to churn out excellent performances for Arsenal.

The youngster has been unbelievable this season, contributing goals and assists with his trickery on the wings. He has 7 goals and 7 assists in 20 Premier League games.

Talks have been on over a new deal with a couple of Arsenal players, which Gabriel Martinelli has put pen to paper and it is expected that Saka will follow suit before the end of the season.

THE LATEST: EXPERT’S CLAIM

According to Dean Jones, Bukayo Saka will not be leaving Arsenal although things have not been sorted out as regards his new deal.

There are slight concerns about Saka, who has been brilliant this season, being persuaded to leave Arsenal for Real Madrid or Manchester City, but Jones’ position has given some assurance.

“The core of that squad are going absolutely nowhere; Arsenal are confident that they’re not,” Jones told Give Me Sport.

“Someone like Saka, they know that the vultures will be circling if there’s any sign of discontent or any sign of him becoming available.”

THE VERDICT: HE HAS TO STAY

Saka is well at home in London and it will be a huge shock to see him leave at the end of the season.

He is clearly the club’s biggest star at the moment and has the right qualities to become a legend of the club.

It is only a matter of time and it is believed that the winger will remain a part of Mikel Arteta’s project for the foreseeable future.
