Transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio has provided an update on Arsenal targets Mykhalo Mudryk and Christian Pulisic.

THE LOWDOWN: WINTER BUSINESS

Following a brilliant start to the new Premier League season, Arsenal have been on the lookout for quality additions to the side, as they hope to sustain their lead at the top of the Premier League log.

Mikel Arteta is believed to be eyeing a swoop for reinforcements in attack. The duo of Mykhalo Mudryk and Christian Pulisic have been linked with the Gunners recently.

However, the unfortunate injury to Gabriel Jesus has made an attacker a priority in January and a transfer expert has now provided update on two players who could move to the Emirates next month.

THE LATEST: EXPERT’S UPDATE

Transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio has given an update on Arsenal’s two targets in his latest interview.

Arsenal target Christian Pulisic could leave Chelsea this summer, with Manchester United, Newcastle United and Arsenal being possible destinations for him.

Di Marzio was asked on which choice is the best for the American and he responded this way.

“I don’t think he will go to Bayern Munich, but it depends on Sadio Mane’s injury. If he turns out to be out for a long time, Bayern can try for Pulisic or Marcus Thuram. Thuram is on a free transfer next summer, so he could leave for Munich.

“If they really decide at Bayern that they want to get a winger, then these are the two candidates. Although Chelsea does not want to let Pulisic go at all at the moment. If they find a replacement for him, that will change.”

On Arsenal being linked to Mykhalo Mudryk and how much can Arsenal pay to snap him up.

He added: “Mudryk is a really good player. AC Milan wanted him in the summer in case Rafael Leão left, but he was too expensive for Milan.

“At the moment, Arsenal are trying to sign him because they know they are dealing with a very talented player. But whether it will also work in January… I don’t know. That they are in pole position to capture him is certain. But Shakhtar is a difficult negotiating partner and they are probably asking about 35 million euros for him.”

THE VERDICT: MIXED NEWS

Arsenal are clearly in the driving seat for Mudryk but Pulisic’s case hangs in the balance. The Gunners will need to move as soon as possible in order to fill the void in attack before the situation becomes complicated.
