Arsenal are set to make a final attempt to secure the signing of long-term target Youri Tielemans.

THE LOWDOWN: EVER-PRESENT INTEREST

Arsenal and Youri Tielemans have been in constant contact for the large parts of the some seasons now. Talks upon talks and links surfaced between the two parties, but it never materialized in a move.

The Gunners took a decision during the summer when it became difficult for Leicester to let go of the Belgian.

It appears Arsenal are ready to make a final attempt to sign the Leicester Midfielder whose time at the King Power Stadium is almost over.

THE LATEST: FINAL DECISION

According to the Mirror, Arsenal are ready “final attempt” to seal the transfer of Youri Tielemans from Leicester in January.

With the midfielder’s contract set to end in July, the Gunners are keen to snap up the Belgian and thereby strengthen their midfield as the second  half of the season is set to begin.

By virtue of that, Tielemans will be free to speak to overseas clubs from January onwards to agree a pre-contract.

The Gunners are considered to be long-term admirers of the Foxes’ Belgian international midfielder, but have never elected to make a concerted push to take him to north London.

THE VERDICT: FINAL PUSH

Tielemans’ addition to the Arsenal midfield will be massive, as he contributes goals in good proportion compared to the other midfielders Mikel Arteta has at his disposal.

Arsenal have reportedly decided to turn away from Danilo and it is believed the Gunners would be pursuing Tielemans solely in January.
