Arsenal star Gabriel Jesus has returned to training to continue his recovery from a knee injury.

It has been two months since Jesus injured his knee while playing for Brazil against Cameroon in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. The forward immediately underwent surgery to correct the injury.

In his absence, Eddie Nketiah has been able to deliver and help Arsenal remain top of the Premier League and the imminent return of the Brazilian will be a huge boost to the Gunners.

While he is expected to be back till March, Jesus has already made a sensational return to the Gunners’ training which could see him return before the scheduled date.

THE LATEST: RETURN TO TRAINING

Gabriel Jesus has returned to Arsenal’s training ground to speed up his rehabilitation from knee surgery.

In soothing news for Mikel Arteta and the Arsenal squad, Jesus reported back to the club’s Colney Training Ground on Tuesday.

According to GOAL, he no longer needs the assistance of a knee brace or crutches to move around. In fact, it was also reported that Jesus was able to do some light ball work on a training pitch.

However, he will need more time time to rebuild the strength in his knee and there is no specific target date for his return to competitive fixtures.

THE VERDICT: GOOD PROGRESS

It is simply amazing to know that his recovery and rehabilitation is going according to plan.

Arsenal fans will be delighted and hope that it will be a smooth full recovery in order to help the Gunners in the latter part of the season.
