Winger Reiss Nelson has heaped praise on Mikel Arteta, following Arsenal’s strong start to the Premier League season.

THE LOWDOWN: RESURGENT ARSENAL

Arsenal have reached greater heights in all forms this season. Having led Arsenal to two titles in his opening eight months in charge, Arteta is at it again.

The Gunners sit top of the Premier League with 12 wins from their opening 14 games of the season. Impressive results against Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham have come before the season went on the World Cup break.

Nelson, who played a part in the bashing of Nottingham Forest, has now praised the manager for the work done so far.

THE LATEST: MANAGER’S APPRAISAL

Winger Reiss Nelson has praised Mikel Arteta for how he is guiding Arsenal back to the summit of the Premier League in a latest interview with Sky Sports.

When informed that he is only one of the 3 players to still be at the club from when Arteta joined, he replied, “I know, it’s crazy to see.”

“I feel like he [Mikel Arteta] has a plan in his head on what he wants to do with the team. And I feel you see it now.”

“I feel like he’s building a team that really understand the philosophy and the way he wants to play and I’m just happy to be a part of it, really.”

THE VERDICT: WELL DESERVED CREDIT

Arteta has been able to put a strong team together for the first half of the season. At the moment, Arsenal are looking good for a top-four finish.

However, the table-toppers have dropped jaws across the league, as they are firmly in the race to win the league.
