Cristiano Ronaldo believes Arsenal have done enough to win the Premier League this season and will be happy to see them win the title.

THE LOWDOWN: WORDS OF APPROVAL

Cristiano Ronaldo has offered Arsenal his ‘support’ and says he won’t be disappointed to see the Gunners win the Premier League

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner said this in part 2 of his explosive tell-all interview with Piers Morgan about his time at Manchester United which has currently set the football world alight.

Morgan asked him about his thoughts on the Premier League title race at the moment and Ronaldo stated that he would be happy to see Arsenal win the title.

THE LATEST: SHOCK BACKING FOR ARSENAL

“I hope so,” he responded when asked about his thoughts on the Gunners winning the league.

“Manchester [United] first, and if not, Arsenal is some team that I like to see play. I like the team. I like the coach. I think they have a good team. And if Manchester United don’t win the Premier League, I will be happy if Arsenal do.”

Morgan, who is a die-hard Arsenal fan and a huge admirer of Ronaldo, was happy with the comments, having made it clear in the past that he would love Ronaldo to come to Arsenal.

“Gabriel Jesus needs a scoring partner next to him, and Jesus’ heat map is so outrageous,” Morgan told talkSPORT Breakfast in the wake of the first interview clip released..

“He [Jesus] covers so much ground, actually what we [Arsenal] need is a fox in the box, a world-class player with bags of experience, who has won everything and to help us get over the line.

“I can think of somebody – Cristiano Ronaldo!”

THE VERDICT: SAYS A LOT

It is indeed a big surprise to see a player still on contract with a rival side, especially Manchester United, declare his support for Arsenal.

It is hard to see how Ronaldo walks his way back into Manchester United at this stage but his comments put into perspective how impressive Arsenal have been so far.
