Winger Bukayo Saka is set to become one of Arsenal’s highest-paid players when he signs his new contract.

THE LOWDOWN: KEY PLAYER

Saka, who is a graduate of the club’s academy, has grown to become a star at Arsenal. Over the past three seasons, he has been Arsenal’s best player and has been excellent in the early part of this season.

Saka is now with the three Lions at the World Cup in Qatar where he has already made a mark in the opening game against Iran.

Talks have been on over a new contract since the summer and it is expected that the 21-year-old will remain at the Emirates for the foreseeable future.

THE LATEST: TOP EARNER

Arsenal are set to triple the wages of Bukayo Saka and become one of the club’s highest earners.

The North London outfit are keen to tie him down to a new deal amid his two-goal display for England in their World Cup opener against Iran.

Saka, 21, whose current deal has 18 months left and with an option of a further one-year option to give Arsenal a safety net.

Currently, the Gunners winger earns about £70,000-a-week, is set to receive a major rise – as his value continues to rise for both club and country.

THE VERDICT: WELL DESERVED

Saka deserves the pay rise because he has been able to show his importance in several games for the Gunners over the years. He can only get better from here and Arsenal have done well to offer him something worthy.
