Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka has hinted at staying put at the Emirates Stadium amidst several interests from other Premier League sides.

THE LOWDOWN: PROGRESSING TALKS

Arsenal and Bukayo Saka have been talking over a contract renewal for the winger. The academy graduate, since he broke through the ranks in the 2019/20 season, has grown to become one of the side’s most important players.

Saka has continued to play a significant role under Mikel Arteta and it wasn’t a surprise that the club have his contract situation and that of others in mind.

While talks have been progressing in the right direction, Saka has attracted interest from other Premier League clubs but a transfer expert is confident of his stay at the Emirates.

Now, the player himself has hinted at his intention to remain at the North London club for the foreseeable future.

THE LATEST: WANTS TO STAY

Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has revealed that his future lies at the Emirates Stadium for the next few years after making a significant impact at the Emirates Stadium.

The 21-year-old’s current deal is set to expire in 2024 and Arsenal are quite confident that the winger will sign a new long-term deal as the project under Arteta continues.

As per the Daily Mail, Saka has hinted that his future will be in north London for the next few years after an investment in the executive box at the Emirates Stadium signalling that he wishes to stay at the club.

The Gunners have ‘formerly offered’ Saka a new £200,000 a week contract which would see him become one of the highest earners at the club. In addition, Arsenal’s current form hands them an advantage in convincing Saka to stay and play a key role in Arteta’s team for years to come.

Saka has five goal contributions in nine appearances so far this term and played a key role in Arsenal’s 3-1 win over Spurs at the weekend.

THE VERDICT: NO CAUSE FOR ALARM

Everything looks good and in the right direction as per Saka’s contract situation. The form at the club is good at the moment and Saka is also playing quite well and enjoying himself at the Emirates.

The contract renewal is well on track and it is only a matter of when not if the winger will sign an extension.
