Three Arsenal players – Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard and Gabriel Jesus have been handed a nomination for the FIFA 23 Team of the Year.

THE LOWDOWN: MAGNIFICENT 2022

Saka and Odegaard started the year under review as Arsenal players and were able to finish strongly despite Arsenal’s disappointment in not winning a trophy.

Saka turned up in some big games and was also named Arsenal’s player of the season is currently the reigning England Men’s Player of the year.

The young winger was equally impressive at the World Cup, scoring three goals in four games and winning a penalty leading to a goal in the quarter-final against France.

On the other hand, Odegaard, had his first full calendar year as an Arsenal player; he scored 10 and assisted six from midfield. He was named club captain before the start of the 2022/23 season.

Meanwhile, Jesus started out the year with Manchester City, scoring 11 goals in all competitions in the first half of 2022 as they went on to lift the Premier League title. And prior to his injury, Jesus has been key to Arsenal’s rise to the top of the league.

THE LATEST: NOMINATION

The three aforementioned Arsenal players have been nominated for the 2022 FIFA Team of the Year.

Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard were both listed in the midfield category, whilst Gabriel Jesus makes the list as an attacker.

The FIFA Ultimate Team of the Year is a special edition collection of 11 players in FUT who are voted as the best performers in the previous 12 months.

FIFA 23’s Ultimate Team of the Year will feature the best players from 2022 and their cards will be given massive upgrades in the game as a result.

These 11 players, as well as the ’12th player’ voted for by fans will be the highest-rated players in FIFA 23 until the release of the next game.

THE VERDICT: PROUD MOMENT – WELL DESERVED

All three players had a lot to be proud of in 2022, and they will be hoping to do more in 2023 with the Gunners.
