Arsenal have submitted a third bid for Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

THE LOWDOWN: INITIAL REJECTION

The back and forth between Shakhtar Donetsk and Arsenal over winger Mudryk has been one of the most talked about this winter transfer window. The Gunners are keen to get the Ukrainian and the winger has not hidden his desire to move to the Emirates.

In a bid to make that happen, Arsenal have already tabled two different offers for his signature which the club has rejected. Although it was confirmed that the Gunners are ahead of other suitors in the race, the club was not willing to lower their demands for their prized asset.

THE LATEST: FRESH OFFER

Arsenal have reportedly submitted a third bid to Shakhtar Donetsk for winger Mykhaylo Mudryk.

The 22-year-old has been a target for Edu Gasper since the summer transfer window, but the sides were unable to get the deal across the line in time. Since then, the winger has impressed with his performances in the league and Champions League.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal have tabled a third bid for the Shakhtar Donetsk star.

Premier League rivals Chelsea have been linked with hijacking the move, having held talks over a switch, but Romano adds that there’s no official bid from the Blues yet and Arsenal remain favourites.

THE VERDICT: ONLY A MATTER OF TIME

It is only a matter of time before the Ukrainian club will accept Arsenal’s offer for the winger. The player is keen to move and all that is left is for the club to give the green light and the deal will be done in a matter of hours.
