Paris Saint-Germain are interested in Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhães.

THE LOWDOWN: MUCH INTEREST

The Brazilian has enjoyed a sparkling season for the Gunners, both defensively and offensively, contributing to 12 clean sheets from 35 games played and also chipping in with an impressive five goals scored, the most of any centre-back in the Premier League.

The former LOSC Lille man has been subject to much interest in recent months, with European giants Barcelona and Juventus all previously linked with his services.

Recent reports have even stated that the Gunners will be willing to let the Brazilian leave the club, if an attractive offer arrives. And it seems that may come in the form of French Ligue 1 champions PSG.

THE LATEST: PSG INTEREST

According to Tuttomercatoweb, PSG are interested in Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes should they fail to reach an agreement with Inter Milan over Milan Skriniar.

The report claims that the French outfit who are now under new recruitment stewardship in famous football advisor Luis Campos, have listed the Gunners defender as a viable alternative should they fail to sign the Slovakian international.

THE VERDICT: KEEP AT ALL COSTS

The uncapped Brazilian has enjoyed an impressive season at the Emirates, forming a solid centre-back partnership with Ben White.

The £27m-rated defender was rewarded with an impressive SofaScore rating of 7.02 for his performances, ranking as the second-best player in the Gunners camp.

In 35 league starts, he hit five goals, contributed to 12 clean sheets, averaged 0.4 interceptions, 1.4 tackles per game and also winning 69% of his ground duels and 60% of his aerial duels, highlighting just how crucial he’s been to Mikel Arteta’s defence this season.

He also ranks third in the English top-flight for percentage of dribblers tackled at 65.7% showing just how combative and colossal he is when facing up against his opponents.

With the £51k-per-week star at the heart of the north London outfit’s defence, Arteta’s men are guaranteed security at the back showing just why they must keep the Brazilian at all costs this summer.
