Arsenal are reportedly monitoring the situation surrounding Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi who could leave the club this summer.

THE LOWDOWN: GOOD JANUARY WINDOW

The Gunners followed up on the business they did in the summer with some vital signings in the winter transfer window.

Although the Gunners started quite late, the arrivals of Leandro Trossard and Jakub Kiwior in the final few weeks and the deadline day signing of Jorginho from Chelsea, seems to have strengthened Arsenal for the remainder of the season.

With the window now done and dusted, the Gunners are preparing for the summer by keeping tabs on some possible targets and a Chelsea winger has emerged as one.

THE LATEST: RIVAL TARGET

Arsenal are reportedly observing Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi who could depart the Blues this summer.

Hudson-Odoi is currently out on a season-long loan at Bayer Leverkusen after struggling to nick a regular shirt at Chelsea.

With the recent spending spree by Chelsea since Todd Boehly took over, Hudson-Odoi now finds himself further down the pecking order, so leaving on a permanent basis could be on the cards in the summer.

According to The Guardian, Hudson-Odoi is expected to leave Chelsea permanently in the summer transfer window, and Arsenal are reportedly monitoring his situation.

THE VERDICT: INDIFFERENT

Hudson-Odoi was decent when he first broke through the Chelsea Academy and played consistently in their first team at some point. However, failure to grow his performances led to him being sent out on loan.

At Arsenal, Mikel Arteta has already brought in Trossard this January and there’s Gabriel Martinelli who is the first-choice winger on the left, so it looks quite unlikely where the Englishman would fit in at the Emirates.

However, the Spaniard might be interested in having more options at the Emirates to complement his current choices regardless.
