According to Adrian Clarke, Declan Rice has already been speaking to people about a potential move to Arsenal in the summer.

Declan Rice has excelled quite well at West Ham and many believe it’s about time he left the club. His current contract will end next summer, but the London club might be willing to cash in on him this summer.
A report came out some weeks ago that the Gunners have identified him as their summer target and another report also revealed that the player wants to play under Mikel Arteta, putting Arsenal ahead of the other potential suitors.
THE LATEST: YET ANOTHER CLAIM
According to Adrian Clarke on the Handbrake Off Podcast (The Athletic), Declan Rice is already speaking to people close to him about a move to Arsenal.
Clarke said, “I can’t reveal my source, but I do know that Declan Rice has been sounding out people connected with Arsenal in regards to, ‘What’s it like there? What’s it really like? So that sounds like a positive”.
THE VERDICT: POSITIVE NEWS
This will be seen as a positive development as we approach the summer transfer window. The 24-year-old could become a long-term successor to Thomas Partey in the defensive midfield role, and many believe he has the right tools to excel under Mikel Arteta.
One thing is certain though, Arsenal will face intense competition from Chelsea and other top Premier League sides. But, for now, the news about Rice’s preference may be seen positively by the Gunners.
