Lucas Perez has been made surplus to requirements at the Emirates.
The Arsenal misfit is expected to have left the club permanently by the time the transfer window slams shut on Thursday.
Perez has been in the shadows of the crop of forwards at the club since he arrived on a £17m fee from Deportivo la Coruna two years ago.
After netting just eight in La Liga back at Depor last season and failing to impress Unai Emery in training this summer, the Spaniard looks set to end his dismal spell at the Emirates.
And according to his agent, West Ham are the side he will be joining. The Hammers have made an offer and Perez is eager to remain in London.
“I know that West Ham want him and they have made an offer,” Lucas’s agent Rodrigo Fernandez Lovelle told ESPN FC.
“It is an option. Lucas is happy at Arsenal but he wants to play regularly and West Ham is an option for him.
“There are other clubs interested but joining West Ham would allow him to continue in London and in the Premier League and Lucas wants to continue in London.
“In Spain there are also interest from some clubs, but they are not willing to assume the transfer.”
Arsenal are not expected to make any more additions to their squad before tonight’s deadline.
