Arsenal have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Nabil Fekir after midfielder’s agent admitted that the player’s future at Lyon is uncertain.

The Lyon ace has been a reported target of the Gunners for some time.

Fekir has been in remarkable form for Lyon this season having scored 16 goals in Ligue 1 so far.

The Metro claim Arsene Wenger’s side are willing to spend £45 million on the France international, who is being constantly monitored by Wenger’s scout Gilles Grimandi.

‘We have time, that’s the straight line.

‘There are important goals and he is already in a big club.

‘After considering my relationship with [Lyon president] Jean-Michel Aulas, we will make the best decision.’

A deal for Fekir could be made easier for Arsenal following their business with Lyon for Alexandre Lacaette last summer.

Whether Arsene Wenger can persuade their ace striker to remain with the club beyond this season is uncertain. The arrival of Pierre-Emerick Abuameyang is said to have destabilised Lacazette’s form.
