Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has hailed Alexis Sanchez for his impact at Arsenal both on and off the pitch. The former Barcelona man joined Arsenal last season and quickly became a fan favorite among gooners. He lead the team in scoring with 16 league goals, but it was perhaps his intangible that endeared him even more.

His work rate and passion becameĀ evident right away, as the Chilean can be seen bursting a lunge up and down the pitch in every single match, putting in a real shift for the team. He absolutely hates to lose, and lifts his teammates at all times with his enthusiasm.

He galvanized theĀ entire club with his performances last season, and his teammate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has nothing but positive things to say about him. Chamberlain says he tries to learn as much as he can from Sanchez and that the dressing room has taken to the Chilean immediately.

“The one thing I would say about Alexis is that he’s one of the most passionate and hungry individuals I know,” Oxlade-Chamberlain said, speaking to the the Guardian.

“It’s his everyday mannerisms around the training ground, how he trains, his performances, how he scores goals, how he plays and how he defends from up front.”

“These are all things that we can all learn, that everyone who watches football could learn from. I’ve definitely put myself in the bracket of somebody who learns from him every day.”

“He’s someone that loves football, just loves playing football, and being involved in and around football. That comes out in training. He’s very passionate, very upbeat and is a massive character in the team. For someone that doesn’t have amazing English, he manages to communicate so well to all of us and keep the dressing room upbeat.”

“If he knows when he’s not at his best, which is rare, he’ll always push himself to do as well as he can and he demands a lot of himself.”

Arsene Wenger echoed some of these sentiments in his pre Olympiakos press conference, and it will come as no surprise that Alexis has been received so well at the club.

He is Arsenal’s talisman at the moment, and if Chamberlain does indeed take after him, he will develop into the world class player we all know he can be.
