Arsenal star Alexandre Lacazette believes the atmosphere in French stadiums is better than England’s.

The Premier League is historically well-known for it’s exciting atmosphere generated by the supporters. Many foreign players have arrived and praised the league for delivering a raucous energy.

However, Lacazette, who arrived last summer for £52m from Lyon, says he prefers the matchday experience in France.

The striker said: “I miss Ligue 1’s atmosphere. In England, the fans are more spectators than supporters. There’s a better atmosphere in French stadiums.”

Lacazette made no suggestions that it was Arsenal who he was voicing his opinion against, but Gooners have been criticised in the past for a lack of vocal support for their team.

Dampened atmosphere or not, Lacazette has been on fire this season with five goals so far.

Gooners, do you think Arsenal’s atmosphere needs to improve? Let us know in the comments…
