Arsenal her Ian Wright rates Alexandre Lacazette higher than Piere-Emerick Aubameyang.

Both strikers have scored two goals each in the Premier League this season and appear to be growing in confidence together.

at £52m, Lacazette was Arsenal’s record signing for just 6 months, before Aubameyang arrived from Dortmund for £55m in January.

It resulted in his French teammate playing second fiddle to the Gabonese striker under Arsene Wenger.

However, under Unai Emery Lacazette has started to flourish and according to Ian Wright he is a the 27 year-old is a supior striker to Aubameyang, according to Ian Wright.

“I think Lacazette is the better, straight up number nine,” he told BBC 5 Live Sport (via The Star).

Lacazette scored 14 Premier League goals last season

“The reason why Aubameyang plays on the left is because of how he played for Dortmund before they put him in the middle and he scored 40 goals.

“From the wing he scored 20 but when they put him in the middle he scored 40 because he has got that pace, movement and he can finish.

“But Lacazette is a really clinical finisher given the opportunity.

“That’s £110m worth of players.

“That’s Arsenal’s two most expensive players, you have to get those two in the team.”
