Carlo Ancelotti was in the grandstands as Arsenal lost the North London Derby 1-0 at Wembley.

The former Chelsea, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich boss has been touted as the man to replace Arsene Wenger at the Emirates this summer.

A 3-0 defeat to Paris Saint-German in September led to Ancelotti’s sacking – the Italian is still yet to return to management.

Despite the triple crowned Champions League winner’s links with Arsenal, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport (print edition, Friday, page 26, February 9, 2018), Spurs would be interested in appointing Ancelotti should they lose manager Mauricio Pochettino to Madrid.

Ancelotti one of the best managers in the world and knows the Premier League inside out. The Italian led Chelsea to a Premier League and FA Cup double in in 2009/10.

He was in attendance at Wembley to watch Harry Kane grab the winner for Tottenham four minutes into the second-half.

Gooners, is Ancelotti the right man to replace Wenger? Let us know in the comments…
