Arsenal kept their top four hopes alive thanks to a 2-0 win over Chelsea at the Emirates.
Unai Emery’s side were under severe pressure before the game following a dreadful display at West Ham last time out.
Despite calls from Arsenal supporters to recall Mesut Ozi, the German could only make the bench as Emery elected to operate Juventus-bound Aaron Ramsey behind Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Lacazette opened the scoring after 14 minutes. Some quick feet and a rifled near-post finish bringing up the Frenchman’s 10th of the season.
Before half-time it was 2-0. Laurent Koscielny, on his way to a man of the match performance double Arsenal’s lead by converting a fizzed in cross with his shoulder.
The Blues had just one shot on target throughout as they continue to struggle without a prolific number 9.
Arsenal are now just three points behind Maurizo Sarri’s side who remain in fourth place.
