Arsenal and Spurs have taken their rivalry to new ground with the two set to go head-to-head for the rights to host Anthony Joshua’s heavyweight title clash against Kubrat Pulev.
Promoter Eddie Hearn has revealed he has offers on the table from both sides to host Joshua’s summer fight with Kubrat Pulev at the Emirates Stadium or Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
And with Euro 2020 on this summer Wembley would be an unlikely destination for the fight.
Joshua will look to retain his WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight belts when he takes on Bulgaria’s Pulev with the bout set to go ahead in June.
The Gunners and Spurs are also locking horns in the Premier League, but it’s Jose Mourinho’s side who have the upper hand as things stand.
As we approach the final stretch of the season, Mikel Arteta will be determined to squash the six point deficit to Arsenal’s bitter rivals.
