The Premier League season is well underway, and it has been a torrid tart for Arsenal so far, with them sat bottom of the table after the opening three games.

From those first three games, the Gunners have been met with three defeats, conceding nine goals and yet to register one themselves.

It is also fair to say that the clubs opposition so far have been more than beatable as illustrated by bonus bet365 odds given the club’s squad and what they should be capable of.

An opening day defeat to newly promoted Brentford was a real shock for the Gunners faithful, but the following defeats to Chelsea and Manchester City provided two tough games so early on.

Even though the defeats to Chelsea and City were moderately understandable, the way the two games were lost was nowhere near the standard expected. The club should go into every game with the mentality to win, but their performances have been a world away from this.

The defending has been extremely poor even with the new addition of Ben White, and the players have looked half-hearted on the pitch more times than once.

According to The Mirror, Arsenal’s board are growing tireless of the club’s performances, with Mikel Arteta’s job at risk following their incredible poor start.

The Premier League sack race is always interesting, with fans waiting anxiously to see which manager will face the chop first – and as things stand, Arteta is leading the charge.

Despite a strong start to life at Arsenal, winning the FA Cup and Community Shield, Arteta’s time at the Emirates has been downhill since there, even though he is a capable manager.

The Spaniard has shown what he can produce at the club and there is plenty of feeling that the current issues aren’t solely down to his doing.

Hopefully, following the investment this summer and the late deals completed this summer such as Aaron Ramsdale and Takehiro Tomiyasu, the club can start to build on more positive results and performances.

If the club were to sack Arteta in the coming weeks following more poor results, there is still a huge question over who may replace him.

At this stage of the season, so early on, there is a real lack of managers possessing the quality that Arsenal need.
