Arsenal have been handed a green light in their pursuit of Andre Gomes after the 24 year-old was left out of Barcelona’s pre-season squad.
The Gunners have already brought in five new first-team stars this summer after getting their business done early.
However, according to reports in Sport, Unai Emery’s side are not done just yet.
The report states that Barcelona initially wanted £18million for the 24-year-old, but are now ready to accept a bid worth £16m.
The suggestions are Gomes is unhappy at the Camp Nou, through a lack of game time and where he has simply not been able to gel with the squad.
If Arsenal are to sign him, it is likely another will depart the Emirates.
Unai Emery has already allowed Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla to leave from the midfield. However, as per Arsenal’s official website, the manager has not closed the door on any signings.
