According to reports, Arsenal are nearing a deal to land France international Nabil Fekir.
A move, as reported by the Daily Star is “almost done” and would see the 24-year-old link up with his former Lyon team-mate Alexandre Lacazette at the Emirates.
Fekir has been in superb form for the French outfit this season, scoring 11 goals in as many games.
The Gunners are suggested to be edging ahead of Barcelona for the forward forward with their move in a deal which could cost them £60m.
Lyon owner chairman, Jean-Michel Aulas holds his talent in such high esteem he has compared Fekir to Lionel Messi.
With Alexis Sanchez and Meust Ozil appearing ready to quit the Emirates, Fekir would be a suitable replacement for either player. The Frenchman is competent playing in the hole or as a striker.
Fekir has recently scored on home soil after netting against Everton in Lyon’s Europa League victory last month.
