Arsenal could sign Thomas Lemar for significantly less than the £92m they bid for last summer.
Lemar was heavily pursued by Arsene Wenger’s side last summer, but the Gunners failed to convince Monaco to part with their star.
The suggestions are that the Gunners will go back in for Lemar either this month or at the end of the season and according to RMC Sport €70m (£62m) would be enough to see him move to the Emirates.
Arsenal are keen to wrap up a deal for the France international with the increasing likelihood of Alexis Sanchez leaving the club.
Wenger has denied Manchester City have made an offer and played down fears Arsenal would sell their talisman this month.
However, Sanchez is all set to leave in the summer which means Arsenal need to bring in a suitable replacement. It appears the Gunners boss still puts Lemar at the top of that list.
