Arsenal’s success in the transfer window is likely to hinge on whether the Gunners are successful in their quest to keep hold of key-players, amidst a flurry of transfer rumours.

The saga concerning Alexis Sanchez’ future in North London continues to rumble on with the Chilean ace having entered the final 12 months of his current deal and attracting major interest from Premier League rivals Manchester City, as well as other European giants.

Arsenal are understandably determined to keep hold of their Player of the Year and The Independent suggests the Gunners have placed whopping demands around the player despite his contract status, potentially demanding as much as £90m.

Those reports go hand-in-hand with suggestions that Bayern Munich have cooled their interest in the two-time Copa America winner due to the price-tag and it’s unlikely that Manchester City will fund a record-move for that figure.

However, Arsenal run the risk of losing Alexis on a free-transfer next summer if he does not extend his contract and they’d be powerless to stop him from joining a Premier League rival- which raises questions as to whether the Gunners should accept a sale this summer, should Alexis eye an exit.
