According to reports, Arsenal are weighing up the prospect of signing James Rodriguez from Real Madrid.
The Colombian looks to be out of favour in the Spanish capital.
Spanish outlet El Desmarque say the Gunners could snap up the midfielder for £35.8 million.
Rodriguez has struggled for form and fitness since returning to the Bernabeu following a two-year loan stint at Bayern Munich.
The £35.8m supposedly dwarfs what Napoli and Atletico Madrid, who are also interested, are willing to pay.
Rodriguez looks to be surplus to requirements at Real, but he may be necessary to turn things around at The Emirates.
Senior figures at Arsenal will meet on Friday morning to discuss Arsenal’s worst run of results since 1992 after Unai Emery’s side lost 2-1 at home to Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League.
