Arsenal’s need to strengthen their attacking line has been obvious in recent seasons but the Gunners look set to finally improve their options in this area during the summer transfer window.

A top-class name is likely to be signed but it appears Arsenal are eyeing alternative recruits in this area to compensate a new star arrival, with The Sun stating the Gunners are plotting a swoop for Chelsea’s teenage sensation Tammy Abraham.

Abraham has excelled on-loan this season with Bristol City in the Championship, scoring 23 goals for the lowly-placed Robins- and he’s now seeking first-team assurances at Stamford Bridge, otherwise he’ll push for an exit.

Premier League champions Chelsea may find it difficult to offer the 18-year-0ld the opportunities he’s looking for and Arsenal are looking to take advantage, as the Gunners want to improve their options in attack and are seeking a top-class young striker.

Despite the rivalry between the two club’s, Arsenal are confident they can persuade Abraham to move across London but he may find similar struggles to earn first-team opportunities at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal’s attacking ranks currently include Alexis Sanchez, Danny Welbeck, Olivier Giroud, Lucas Perez and young Chuba Akpom.
