Arsenal were beaten in the FA Cup third round at Nottingham Forest on Sunday and the club’s supporters are in the midst of a wicked backlash.

The Gunners were humiliated 4-2 at the City Ground by their managerless Championship counterparts.

Arsene Wenger utilised a weakened side, but still fielded multiple experience players. One man who has taken a fair share of criticism following the defeat is Theo Walcott.

Despite needing to make an impression on his manager, the forward registered a poor display unlikely to help him in his quest for regular game time.

Walcott is Arsenal’s current longest serving player. He’s been linked with a January return to Southampton, with Saints boss Mauricio Pellegrino confirming his side’s interest.

It’s news that will likely delight Arsenal fans who appear to be fed up with Walcott’s progress.

The 28 year-old was the subject of heavy criticism by Gooners on Twitter.
