Arsenal fans have not held back in their efforts to persuade the club to offer Jack Wilshere a new contract.
The midfielder’s current deal is set to expire at the end of the season and he will leave for free should Arsenal pass up on an extension.
Wilshere has provided 16 years of service at the club, but his professional career has been plagued by injury. The 25 year-old has recovered from his leg break in April and has progressed well since making his comeback in September..
Yet, Arsene Wenger continues to deploy the Gunners graduate in domestic cup and Europa League competition which is starting to frustrate fans as Arsenal’s indifferent league form rumbles on.
He’s been restricted to three Premier League substitute appearances, but Gooners are now calling for the midfielder to start at home to Huddersfield on Wednesday night.
